Are you unable to move your bypass handle? This can happen if your unit is new or you haven’t needed to move the handle in a while. Don’t worry, we’ve got a few tips to try below!
First, you’ll want to see if twisting it will help. Go ahead and grab hold of the handle and begin twisting it while slowly pulling it in or out. It may take a few tries to see some movement. If you got it unstuck, great!
If you’ve tried twisting and aren’t having any luck, you can use a non-petroleum based lubricant (silicone lube is best) and apply it to the handle. Go ahead and use your fingernail or a Q-tip to get it around the area as best as possible. Now try twisting again and you should start seeing movement.
